While growing up in Vermont, he fought a daily tug of war between the habits that kept him in shape and the natural changes of life. Soon after graduating from college he discovered that strict adherence to most diet and exercise dogmas was unnecessary and counterproductive. Since then, he's been researching and teaching others how to get in shape on their own terms by following timeless principles. Matt currently lives in Colorado where he enjoys mountain sports, calisthenics, and sushi.

It puts in light the fact that you have to mainly trust in yourself and self experience, rather than complex regimen.
